Join me on a 2-day overnight adventure on the route from Amihari to Mt. Iwate from October 8th to October 9th!

I’m guiding a small group of up to 9 members (7 slots open at this time)  on Sunday, October 8th. I’ll pick everyone up at Morioka Station and we’ll stop at a convenience store for food and such before starting at the Amihari Ski Resort in Shizukuishi. This is one of the longer trails up Mt. Iwate, and will be about 10km to the summit and then 8th Station lodge where we’ll spend the night with an elevation gain of around 1500 meters.

Since we will be spending the night at the lodge, we’ll have plenty of time and can stop as much as we like for photos and snacks. We’ll likely reach the lodge where we’ll spend the night by 3 or 4pm at the latest. There is spring water available at the lodge, as well as bathrooms. We can also get hot water for coffee or instant ramen there. Blanket rental is 500 yen, but if you have a pad and sleeping bag, definitely bring them. I’ll provide a list of what to bring (both what is absolutely necessary and what is just recommended) by email when you inquire.

Assuming that the weather cooperates, we should be able to enjoy both the sunset and sunrise from the edge of the caldera on the summit.

This 2-day trip will be 15,000 yen per person. Feel free to as any questions you may have!
